ABOUT OUR FARM
Farm Girl Deliveries is a no-spray, no-till market farm in Six Mile, SC.
Our farm was established in 2018, when Concetta began sharing her chicken's abundant eggs with her neighbors.
Our Sustainable Farming Methods
No-Spray
No pesticides or synthetic fertilizers
No-Till
Healthier soil and less runoff
We practice no-spray management because we believe it is better for the earth and better for you, too. Instead, we focus on supporting the natural pollinators, beneficial bugs, and the entire ecosystem on our farm.
We build our gardens from the ground up - literally! Tilling disrupts soil structure and biology. No-till management builds soil structure and biology, thereby increasing water infiltration and nutrition. We regularly add new organic material to our soils, including cover crops, mulch and compost.
Polyculture
Diverse crops for resilience
Livestock Integration
Free-range chickens for compost
Polyculture, in place of conventional monoculture, creates a more stable ecosystem with built-in disease resilience. It feeds a diverse soil ecosystem, and it feeds us more color and flavor, too.
Our chickens are integral to our farm, because they give us eggs and soil! We provide them non-GMO feed, seeds, grubs, mulch, and green waste from the farm, and in return they give us manure-rich compost. This in turn supports our no-spray, no-till farm!
