What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Our CSA program runs from May through October. When you sign up to become a member, you will receive a box of fresh, seasonal vegetables, either every week or biweekly. In return, we receive support and funds to make it through the ups and downs of the growing season on our all-natural, family-run farm.

Our CSA Details

Start date of the 2026 CSA: May 7

End of the 2026 CSA Season: October 22

Price per CSA box: $25

Pickup Locations: We have two pick up locations to choose from:

  • Our farm in Six Mile, located at 146 Holliday Road, Six Mile.

  • PF Meat Co. Butchery & Market, located at 233 E. Main Street, Pendleton.

Pickup Times:

  • At the farm: 2:30 pm-6:00 pm

  • At PF Meat Co: 3:00 pm-6:00 pm.

How do I sign up and become a CSA member? Visit our store and choose the CSA Share option that's right for you. You will pay up front, which helps support us throughout the whole year.

What Shares are available? You have four options to sign up for. For duration, you can choose a Half Season Share (May, June, July), or a Full Season Share (May-October). For frequency, you can choose Weekly (every week), or Biweekly (every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month).

What can I expect to get in my CSA box? Each box is a half bushel, and will be packed with freshly harvested, seasonal veggies. We prioritize diversity in our CSA, so you can expect around 10 different vegetable varieties in every box. Typically no two week's boxes will be exactly the same, but some staples may stay the same for a few week and then change with the season. See our Veggie Guide to get an idea of what veggies you can expect.

Can I add on a bouquet? Yes, you can add on a small or large bouquet of flowers grown, harvested, and arranged right on our farm. You can make this selection when you're picking your CSA share in our online store.

Can I customize what produce I get? Yes, we have an option available to lightly customize what veggies you'll get. You can read more farther down this page!

Is a CSA right for me?

If you answer Yes to these questions:

  • Are you looking for a great way to support a local, family-run farm?

  • Is it important to you to eat all-natural grown veggies that very fresh, carefully harvested, and perfectly in season?

  • Are you an adventurous cook or eater, who feels comfortable incorporating vegetables into your meals?

  • Can you make the pick up window on Thursday afternoons consistently?

  • Is either Six Mile or Pendleton a convenient pick up location for you?

And if you answer No to these questions:

  • Are you often too busy to cook meals at home?

  • Do you have a very strong preference for some vegetables over others?

  • Do you have an unpredictable schedule that could make picking up a CSA box hard?

Then becoming a member of our CSA should be perfect for you!

If you decide a CSA may not be the best fit for you, no worries! Instead you can come find us at your local farmer's market and pick up the veggies you're looking for, plus bouquets and more!

Customization and Add-ons

Customizing your produce:

If you sign up for a CSA share, you will be given the option to lightly customizing it. We will send you a link to a brief survey, where you can choose from a list of seasonal veggies, and let us know which three veggies you never want to receive. Then you will pick three veggies you would like to replace those, if possible. We will do our best to match your customization request as we can throughout the duration of your CSA share.

Note, you do not have to take the survey if you don't want to do the customization!

Bouquets:

If you would like to get our flowers as a part of your CSA, you can add on a small or large bouquet when you're selecting your CSA share in our online store. That bouquet will be ready for you to pick up with your box every time. This is available for either pick up location.

Free-range Chicken Eggs:

If you would like to get our chicken eggs as a part of your CSA, you may be able to! This year, we are offering day-of pickup of our eggs, but only if you are picking up from our farm in Six Mile. (Our eggs are also available at the Clemson and Travelers Rest farmers markets.) Any day-of pickup of eggs will be first come, first serve. You will be able to pay with cash or Venmo when you pickup.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do I do if I can't make a pick-up?

If you know you'll be unavailable ahead of time:  If possible, we recommend having a friend pick up your box for you! If a friend is going to pick-up for you, you don't need to let us know, just have your friend give your name at pick up. If no one can pick up your box, we ask that you let us know before that pick-up Thursday.

If you unexpectedly can't make a pick-up day off, or are going to be late, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible. You can do so by emailing us at farmgirldeliveries@gmail.com

We do not do refunds for missed pick-ups, even if you let us know beforehand. But we still love to know so that we can use your portion of fresh veggies in another way!

Should I return my empty CSA box?

Yes please! We'd love if you will bring your empty CSA box back at your next pick up so we can reuse it. To easily store it in the meantime, you can flatten it. Click HERE to see a tutorial on how to easily open your box, and how to collapse it.

What do I do at pick-up to get my CSA box?

Your CSA box (and bouquet, if you have one) should have your name on it. Make sure you get your box, as some boxes may be different if they have been customized.

At the farm: You can pull all the way up our driveway to near the garage, and one of us will bring your CSA share out to you. At that point, let us know if you'd also like to purchase any eggs that day.

At PF Meat Co: Just head in the front door of the store, and give your name to the attendant at the counter, and they'll get you your box!

Is there a Fall Half Season Share I can sign up for?

There will be a Fall Half Season Share that covers August, September, and October. We will announce that sign ups for it are open on our social media in early July. However, shares for the Fall Season are very limited. If you want to guarantee you get our CSA from May all the way through October, we recommend signing up for the Full Season now.

What do I do if there's a vegetable I don't want to use in my box?

You may not always know what to do with every vegetable you get in your box. If you don't use every veggie every week, that's okay! But the CSA is also a great opportunity to be adventurous - I have learned to love veggies I thought I hated just from eating the extras of what we grow on the farm. For ideas, your can check out our storage, preparation, and recipe page HERE, or google some other recipes and get creative. When in doubt, I recommend cooking basically any veggie in a pan with butter and garlic. Another option is to share with friends or neighbors, putting the 'community' in Community Supported Agriculture to good use!
